Relief in VR is a VR title developed for internal clinical use of patients with neck pains and other health issues. The game runs on Samsung Gear VR and on the Pico Goblin. Though seemingly simple, the game actually carries a lot of complexity in it’s features: user data management is done via Playfab, and login via Facebook is available. We track the days of the week that the user has played the game and there are leaderbaords that are posted directly to a wix website. The game also awards real prizes for the users, depending on how they performed over the week. There’s a UI system that spawns and guides the enemies according to a specific set of rules, to optimise patient experience. As with other VR applications for this series, it ends with a relaxation module, making the experience more pleasant as a whole.
